This week on Angel From Hell: Brad moves out, Alison kisses a married man, and it’s quite possible that Amy is not actually an angel, but in fact a person with a long-lasting delusion that has caused her to become attached to Alison. Though that wouldn’t explain the photo from when Alison was young…
No worries, though. We’ll get to explanations for all of that. In the meantime, one small criticism: do we really need a recap of everything that happened in the pilot again? I promise, Amy makes it very hard to forget anything she does- as you’ll see clearly many times tonight.
That whole flirting thing between Amy and Brad hasn’t been forgotten either, even though she’s criticizing him every other minute. She does make a good point about him needing to move out of Alison’s garage, though, and that might be just the push for him to do so. Amy gets rather different advice- she needs to pet dogs, smell babies, and all in all embrace life more. But probably not in the way Amy does. Suffice it to say Alison’s father is now officially freaked out.
Brad is, at least initially, fully on board with Amy’s idea of getting Alison out of the house. He helps her persuade her to ditch a father/daughter cribbage night and go out clubbing. Soon, though, both he and dad are starting to have doubts- especially when they get a look at Amy’s very odd criminal record. Alison, on the other hand, is actually embracing the whole thing. At least until Amy has her dance with a guy she was matched with online who turns out to be married.
Secrets come out for everyone when Alison’s family arrives. Like the fact Brad’s new apartment actually costs more than he can afford to spend. Or, more importantly, the fact Amy actually lives in a halfway house. A halfway house she gets kicked out of after having visitors after hours, demanding to know why she lied about where she lived and who she is. And then Alison, feeling guilty about this, decides to invite Amy to live with her in the garage Brad has vacated.
So yes. All in all, this show would never happen in real life because most normal would have called the cops by now instead of inviting their stalker to live with them. But, as I said before, we wouldn’t have a show if Alison did that, and, since it’s a sitcom, I think we can (probably) rule out the possibility that Amy will turn out to be a serial killer. There is a very cute moment with her singing a song Alison’s mother used to, so that’s…nope, still creepy. But cute, too.
